In October of 1947, American hero Chuck Yeager climbed aboard an experimental Bell X-1 hung in the bay of a B-50 Bomber mothership and rocketed his way into history to become the first human being to break the sound barrier. Our Bell X-1 necklace pays tribute to him.

The Stern Design Works Collected History Series focuses on the idea of creating a visual library of touchstones sowed with the seeds of shared fascinations.

Each piece is inspired by the STEAM initiative (Science, Technology Engineering, Art, Math) and bridges past to present by artfully combining 3D Printing with lost material casting and other traditional techniques.

Please note: Our Bell X-1 Necklaces come standard on a matching sterling silver or brass 16" chain. Please contact us if you would like to add a longer chain.
